How it works

A four-stage path through the close.

Review supported bank and platform records, resolve host decisions, reconcile bank accounts, and examine results for included properties.

From scattered activity to books you can trust.

Run your month-end close in sequence. Review supported source intake, confirm host decisions, reconcile bank accounts, and record the completed close.

The Review Queue flags transactions requiring host discretion: splitting multi-property Home Depot runs, allocating mortgage payments into principal and interest, and matching unlinked receipts.

One worked example

Follow one payout into the accountant handoff.

Fictional Harbor Stay Example LLC, Example Cottage, 2026-06-01 through 2026-06-30, close version 1. This example has no opening cash, lodging tax, refunds, card activity or other expenses. These chosen amounts describe a workflow; they are not a provider fee quote or tax calculation.

  1. Gather: the official payout record shows $1,000 rent, $100 guest cleaning fees and a $33 host fee. The bank receives $1,067. Retain the original export and bank statement.
  2. Decide: review a $180 cleaner payment and its invoice, assign the property, and keep the expense separate from the guest cleaning fee.
  3. Reconcile and close: $1,067 received less $180 paid leaves $887 bank cash in this isolated example. Resolve unexplained differences before close. If an authorized correction requires reopening, retain the earlier close and identify the revised version.
  4. Review and hand off: the example has $1,100 revenue and $213 selected expenses. The specimen manifest identifies this period, property, close version and source records. Unresolved items: None in this simplified example. The accountant reviews tax classification separately.
